Our Company
The ISL-Baltic Consult GmbH (ISL-BC) was founded in the year 1999 as a subsidiary of the Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics, Bremen, and the Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft mbH, operator of the infra- and superstructure of the Port of Luebeck, one of the biggest ports in the Baltic Sea. Additionally the Seehafen Kiel GmbH & Co. KG is a further shareholder of ISL-BC since 2005 as well as the Hafen-Entwicklungsgesellschaft Rostock mbH since the year 2007.
Due to many years of experience our team possesses necessary knowledge and ability for the implementation of interdisciplinary projects especially in the area of logistics systems, port development and shipping. Since 1999 ISL-BC dealt with about 150 projects. Core competence covers the planning of international logistic processes in the sea and hinterland transport, competitive analyses of port related transport chains, strategic port planning, the restructuring of enterprises and the privatisation of public port bodies.
